Harper Story (2003) and Where the Spirit Lives (1989), which won the 1990 Gemini Award for Best TV Movie. He co-produced The Arrow, a TV drama about Canadian fighter planes, starring Dan Ackroyd, that won six awards at the 1997 Gemini awards. Jordan's career began at IBM, creating in-house videos and promotional films. In the early 1980s he joined his lifelong friend, Paul Stephens, to form a production company, The Film Works, in Toronto, Ontario. Jordan received a BA in philosophy at the University of Toronto.

"When I'm evaluating new projects I look for great characters in a powerful story, particularly one that I feel is worth telling for social or political reasons. If we can make a good film and stir up some interest or controversy around an important subject, that's ideal."
