A World Bank forestry project carves logging roads into Tarahumara
(or Raramuri) lands in mountainous Chihuahua, home of the Sierra
Madre's last remaining old-growth forest, leaving a legacy of
violence and fear. This is the story of the Tarahumaras' decade-long
fight against powerful drug lords who burn their forests and steal
their land.
