Jobie WeetaluktukTeacher, writer, producer and filmmaker Jobie Weetaluktuk (Inuit) has a worked in TV and radio broadcasting, and independent film production. His first documentary film, Qallunajatu/Urban Inuk, followed the lives of three Inuit men from the North now living in Montreal It was screened in more than 20 venues in Canada, Europe and the United States and won the Rigoberta Menchu Grand Prize in the Community Category at the 2006 First Peoples' Festival Film and Video Showcase in Montreal. Weetaluktuk is an experienced teacher and student counseler, and makes presentations about Inuit culture and language to public audiences. He is fluent in both written and spoken Inuktitut, as well as English. Originally from Inukjuak, a traditional Inuit village in northern Quebec, Weetaluktuk lives in Montreal.
