Franklin Quizhpe

Franklin QuizhpeFranklin Quizhpe (Saraguro Kichwa) coordinates touring video showcases and media training for indigenous communities of Ecuador. He has worked in communication for the Confederación de Nacionalidades Indígenas del Ecuador, CONAIE, and the Consejo de Desarrollo de las Nacionalidades y Pueblos del Ecuador, CODENPE, two of Ecuador's largest indigenous organizations. His work has been screened at the CLACPI festivals in Chile (2004) and Oaxaca (2006). Quizhpe began making videos during his studies at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana de Quito, where he received a degree in social communication. Quizhpe lives in Quito, and grew up in Pichic, in the province of Loja, Ecuador.
