Cara Marcous

Cara MarcousProducer Cara Marcous has worked with director Andrew Okpeaha MacLean to produce several films, including Sikumi/On the Ice, which won a Jury Prize for Short Filmmaking at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was short-listed for the Academy Awards. In 2005 she produced MacLean’s feature documentary When the Season is Good, commissioned by the Alaska Native Arts Foundation and acquired by ARTE, a European public television network, for multi-broadcast in 34 European countries.  Marcous is the co-founder of the Hub Project, a development initiative for emerging theater and film artists from New York and Sydney, Australia. She has produced several plays, and “Lapse,” written and co-produced by Marcous, was presented at Walkerspace in New York in 2004. Marcous graduated with a B.A. in theater arts from Brown University.
