Damián López Castillo

Damián López CastilloDamián López Castillo (Zapotec) has participated in social organizations since 1997, basing his work on the appropriation of electronic media in communities and the creation of alternative communication networks. López is a member of the media collectives Arcano Catorce, Indymedia Oaxaca, and Mal de Ojo. He also participates in a diverse range of community radio projects and instructs community-based media workshops such as Ojos Diversos with Ojo de Agua Comunicación. He studied Popular Communication at Universidad de la Tierra in Oaxaca City, where he lives. He was born in Ixtepec, Oaxaca.
