Karin Gunn

Karin GunnKarin Gunn is a freelance video artist and photography and digital animation art teacher from Brazil.  She holds an MA in Art Education from the University of Florida and has worked with high school and graduate students in both the United States and abroad.  Between 2007 and 2009 Gunn collaborated with Melanie Davenport on a series of animation workshops at the school CRES (Centro Rural de Educación Superior) in Estipac, Jalisco, Mexico. The students primarily indigenous from diverse ethnic groups, experimented with stop-motion animation to tell their stories in their own languages.  Gunn created the website TeachAmimation.org, a resource for teachers who want to engage students in the exciting experience of learning how to make pictures move, Gunn currently lives and works in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
