Shonie De La Rosa

Shonie and Andee De La RosaFilmmaker Shonie De La Rosa (Navajo) is the editor of the newspaper Kayenta Today and public relations officer of Kayenta Township, Arizona, on the Navajo Reservation. In 2005 he participated in the Institute of American Indian Arts Summer Film and Television Workshop. Much of De La Rosa's work is about addiction, including his documentary "G" Methamphetamine on the Navajo Nation, produced for the Indian Health Service, winner of the Best Public Service Award at the 2004 American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. He has also directed music videos. In 2001, his film Heart, Soul, and Sanity won the Best Native American Video Award at the Seaside International Film Festival in Withinsea, England.
