Steve Barron is a director of numerous internationally-released films and television productions. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barron's hugely successful feature based on the popular animation series, was one of several films that Barron directed using fantasy elements designed at Jim Henson's Creature Shop. He directed the music video Billie Jean, the first single released from Michael Jackson's hit album Thriller, and many other music videos of top pop stars, including Money for Nothing, winner of MTV's Video of the Year in 1986. Barron's Electric Dreams received the Best Director award at the Madrid Film Festival. Barron was born in Dublin, Ireland.

"When I embarked on this project I had no idea what I was undertaking, but when you enter the unknown your senses and instincts are heightened and help guide your actions."
