With the Grain: The Life and Art of Willard Stone
(2009, 30 min.) US
Director: Scott Swearingen
Produced by: the Gilcrease Museum

A portrait of renowned Cherokee wood carver Willard Stone. Born in 1916, the young Stone studied with Native masters Woody Crumbo and Acee Blue Eagle, but his exquisitely sensitive works were a unique reflection of his own sensibility and its evocation of nature and his Native identity.
