"To Play the Games"To Play the Games
(2004, 25 min.)
Director: Phillip Blanchett (Yup'ik)
Producers: Jonathan Stanton, Phillip Blanchett, Steven Alvarez (Mescalero Apache/Yaqui/Athabascan)

The World Eskimo Indian Olympics is a modern-day continuation of the ancestral games of the Alaska Native peoples. Once necessary for survival, these sports strengthened the physical and mental ability of the participants. This look at the foremost contemporary competition follows world record holders as they compete for their personal best.
