Reencounters: Between Memories and Nostalgia/Reencuentros: Entre la Memoria y la Nostalgia
(2007, 10 min.)
Director: Yolanda Cruz (Chatin)
In Spanish with English subtitles.

After a decade away, artist Alejandro Santiago returns to his village in Oaxaca, Mexico, only to find it a ghost town; hundreds of residents had migrated north in search of work. As a result, 2501Migrants was born, a sculpture project of 2501 clay sculptures symbolizing those who left.
