"A Thousand Roads"

A Thousand Roads, the signature film of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, was produced as part of the opening exhibitions of NMAI on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where it screens most days in the Rasmuson Theater.

Since 2005, as part of its commitment to provide programming outside of the museum to Native communities and the general public, NMAI has sent the film "on the road" to Native film festivals and conferences, and screenings at the George Gustav Heye Center in New York and the Native Cinema Showcase in Santa Fe. To make this NMAI program more available, screenings of A Thousand Roads are free of charge to the public.

The film is available on DVD for home use; to order enter here.
